In her mancozeb update (below), Katie Gold (Cornell University) has done a great job of providing a synopsis of the current mancozeb situation and the EPA’s activities and research efforts for mancozeb replacement, if necessary. Suffice it to say that it will likely be a matter of 2-3 years before any final decisions are made on whether mancozeb will be available at all, or available with new mitigations, for grape production. As she mentions, we are conducting trials in Georgia to gather information on potential mancozeb replacement options, and these trials are being replicated elsewhere.
