As of yet, the spotted lanternfly HAS NOT been found in Georgia, but as a high priority invasive species, if you suspect you have found this insect, please report via EDDMapS website or EDDMapS app.
Spotted lanternfly is a pest of grapevine, but it also enjoys the invasive plant Tree-of-Heaven (mentioned below) and many other plants found in GA. See below for information from Rebekah Wallace with the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health.
Anyone can report tree-of-heaven, spotted lanternfly, and other invasive species via https://www.eddmaps.org/ or the EDDMapS app and experts that participate as EDDMapS Verifiers will review the records.
