I’ve received a couple questions about our meeting next Wednesday at Limoges Cellars! There is still time and room to join us, though please make sure to sign up by Monday, 14 Aug so that we can make sure to have enough food.
I’m excited for our discussions we’ll have. Ben Shirley with the USDA FSA will be there to talk about the disaster assistance programs that can help grape growers in Georgia! I’ll get to talk about some viticultural considerations, including talking about vineyard nutrition sampling, a preliminary update on our Pierce’s Disease treatment trial, and the season so far. Ashley Hopper will talk about some of her cool reflective ground cover research (year 2 is currently underway). There will also be the group chance to join in with the ASEV-Hang Time Session talking about the ever important harvest decisions. Lastly, the fee associating will get you lunch and a glass of wine (because working in the wine industry is the best).
